Outdoor Opportunities for Veterans
We honor our veterans by reintroducing them to the outdoors and providing mentorship. NWTF State Chapters, along with others across the country, are committed to making a difference in the lives of our service men and women.
In Oklahoma, where over 244,000 veterans call home, we recognize that 8% of the adult civilian population are veterans. Additionally, Oklahoma leads the nation in veterans, with over 104,000 having some level of service-connected disability. Through programs like WITO, Wheelin Sportsmen, and our Veterans initiatives, we reintroduce veterans to outdoor activities.
By reaching out to the Veteran Coordinator, veterans can participate in mentored hunts, fishing, archery, shooting sports, and more. The knowledge and experience gained at these events empower participants to continue enjoying outdoor pursuits for years to come. Wheelin Sportsmen and Veteran programs coordinate closely to ensure an enjoyable experience for the hunter.
NWTF members receive a one year subscription to Turkey Call magazine, member benefits and more.
